Moisture/Water Intrusion
A visual inspection of the building is backed up by moisture meter readings and infrared imaging are used to map out the source of moisture intrusion. A moisture evaluation starts with a visual exterior inspection to identify any construction defects or neglected maintenance issues which could render the exterior envelope vulnerable to water intrusion. Also included are identification of roof damage, surface drainage.
Interior issues such as plumbing defects and water leaks, chronic condensation caused by poor or inadequate insulation or the intrusion of humid outdoor air into the dwelling causing humidity issues in the home, are included in the evaluation.
A report is issued to the client along with digital photographs highlighting the deficiencies found.
